We are now able to offer virtual consultations using telephone and/or video, giving you fast access to our expert physiotherapists from the comfort of your own home.
A virtual consultation is a video or telephone appointment where you can speak directly to a physiotherapist about your musculoskeletal problem. Our experienced physiotherapists are able to provide an assessment and advice on how to manage your condition as well as provide you with a tailored exercise programme.
This is particular useful during the current Covid restrictions. We can continue to review your progress remotely and answer any questions or concerns you may have throughout your treatment.

How do I book a virtual consultation?
For private patients, call 3 Way Healthcare on 0118 969 2299 to arrange your consultation.
If you are an NHS patient, 3 Way Healthcare will contact you when we receive your referral from your GP and arrange your first appointment.
For ongoing treatment your physiotherapist will book appointments directly with you.
How long is a virtual consultation?
The length of virtual consultations is normally 30 minutes.
How do I connect for my virtual consultation?
For your first virtual consultation your physiotherapist will call you at the time of your appointment. From there the consultation can be carried forward either as a telephone or a video call.
Please make sure you are ready 5-10 minutes before the start of your appointment.
We strongly recommend video, which allows the physiotherapist to assess your condition more effectively.
For video consultations we use Zoom.
What is Zoom?
Zoom is a video conferencing service for hosting live virtual meetings. You can join a Zoom appointment by video, computer audio, or by telephone.
You do not need your own account to use Zoom, and the use of Zoom for virtual consultations is completely free of charge
How do I access Zoom?
Zoom can be used from a computer, mobile or tablet. You don’t need a Zoom account to attend a virtual consultation.
Your Physiotherapist will send you an invitation via email confirming your Zoom virtual appointment. The email will contain a link to join the consultation. You’ll need to click on the link and might be asked to enter a meeting ID to join your consultation, which will be on the same email.
If you’re using a mobile or tablet device for your consultation, you’ll need to download the Zoom app from the App Store (iPhone/iPad users) or Play Store (Android users) – this should happen automatically the first time you use Zoom. Once the app is installed, you can then join your consultation by following the link in the email.
If you are using a computer/laptop you can access Zoom through your browser, which should be automatic when you click on the link in your email invitation.
We recommend using a device with a wide enough screen to allow you to see your physiotherapist clearly. If you are using a computer without a built in camera, you’ll need to make sure you have a webcam attached.
What happens at the end of my consultation?
If you are using Zoom just click on “Leave Meeting” when your consultation is finished.
If appropriate your physiotherapist will email you details of any exercises that have been recommended, either as a leaflet or a demonstration video.
